What's Up?

Today's post will be about my heritage tour to Battle Box and Fort Canning earlier today.

First thing was to meet outside the general office in school after putting our bags in the gym. During school curriculum time, Mdm Noor gave out Potato Chips and Chocolate wafers to bring with us.

Well, after we reached there by bus, the ride was about 15-20 minutes. So when we reached, we watched a video of the World War II for about 5-10 minutes. After that, it's showtime. When we first stepped into Battle Box, the underground command centre, after walking for a minute there was a siren asking to close the door or enemies will come in. It was like we went back in time in 1941 and 1942! The voice was real and my fear started to ambush. At first, the tour guide asked us to hurry up or enemies will come in. I was dead scared. We walked through the dark corridors;and phew! The door was out of sight. Me and Hazimah were dead scared. We went into rooms to hear the conversations; we came to 1 room where by a British soldier made of wax answered phonecalls. The hands were moving like real. The light went out and after a minute they blinked and went on again. We splited into 2 grounps. We went to 3 rooms to watch video in the dark glasses and when you look up, there will be no video.Scary! We finally came into a room of a conversation between L.T A Percival and a British soldier. The figures in the whole battle box looked real but made of wax. After that we went to a room where L.T A Percivcal and other head soldiers met up and started to discuss. They finally chose to surrender because Japan used modern weapons and sinked "Repulse" and "Prince Of Wales", two of the warships of British Army.We finally headed out.

We went for a break and finally walked to where the Fort Gate And Wall are. Aunty Ho, the tour guide, explained that the fort gate is really heavy and when you touch it, it feels like a wall. We went up the steps to the top of the fort gate where soldiers put rifles in holes and defeat the enemies. The steps up were steep and at 75 degrees.I couldn't see a thing when I went up and down the stairs. After a few sights, we reached the Keramat Sultan Iskandar Syah.We finally saw a canon. It was humongous. After that we finally headed back to school.

I promise I will put in pictures Hasyimah will send me and the Battle Box Tickets. Goodbye

P.S I skipped tuition for the heritage Tour. Tutor didn't mind! I wouldn't miss a tour to Battle Box!
