RIP
Saturday, October 06, 2012 | Posted by Naz | 0 comment/s

Weiyin and I when she was here in April 2012.

My friend, Tan WeiYin.

She was a great, great friend who always listened and offered advice. She may be much older but she was one of my closest friends. Our conversations were always happy and there was never an unhappy moment. When she was here, we had so much fun eating, watching movies and just spending time together. I remember playfully bantering with her and that she always called me 'desperate' whenever I talked about boys. I remember us calling each other Korean cuss words and just laughing it off because it was all just for the fun of it.

I just regret that I found out late and wasn't able to talk to her before she went it for surgery. I regret that we weren't able to talk much for the past few months because my phone was taken away.

Weiyin,
I know that life hasn't been a walk in the park for you and I'm glad that you're in a place where harm cannot reach you. You probably wouldn't want us to cry over you but let me just cry tonight, okay? Just tonight, I promise, then I'll be happy again. I'll study hard for you. I'll make you proud so you know your encouragement for me hasn't gone to waste. I will always remember the love and support you've shown me for the past year. I'm thankful to have known you. I'm grateful to have been able to meet you once earlier this year. I have so many memories with you and I'll remember you as a great friend who was always there for me. Thank you for everything you've done. Thank you for always making me smile and laugh when I needed some cheering up. Thank you for being with us moonpies. Thank you for fighting till the end. I won't forget you, ever.
With lots of love,
Naz

Nothing hurts more than losing someone you treasure. Second time this year. First, it was Aunty Ta, and now Weiyin...
